Health Insurance Information

While we readily accept most health insurances, it is your duty as the patient to know your insurance coverage and benefits if offers for treatment by a Dermatologist. Dermatologists are a specialist provider for health insurance purposes, and what is covered can vary widely depending on the details of your insurance.

Payment: It is your responsibility for payment of all services rendered whether insurance covers the visit and services partially or fully. It’s always a good idea to check with you insurance company prior to your visit if you are unsure about what’s covered when you visit a dermatologist. 

Referrals: Your insurance may require that you have a referral from your primary care doctor in order to see a dermatologist. It is important that you secure the required authorizations, if necessary, in advance before making an appointment. You will also need to provide us with your primary care physicians contact information.
